Job summary

Alpharetta Periodontics seeks a skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to support patient care and clinical procedures. You will prepare operatories, assist doctors, and help manage patient flow from intake through post-op instructions.

The role requires two years of surgical assisting experience, prosthodontics exposure (bone grafts and implants), and CPR/First Aid certification. Join a collaborative team delivering high-quality periodontal care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization and maintaining lab areas.
• Escort, communicate with and prep patients for care by doctor.
• Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
• Administer oxygen & IV sedation as needed; monitor vital signs.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models; coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information in charts; schedule appointments; provide post-op directions.
