Job summary

Alpharetta Periodontics is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to join a patient-centered team dedicated to high-quality care in a welcoming environment. You will support the doctor, prepare operatories, and ensure safe, efficient procedures for diverse patients.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program and at least two years of surgical experience, with prosthodontics exposure. Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience: bone grafting & implants.
• CPR & First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining lab & procedural areas.
• Escort and prep patients for care, review history and treatment plans with patients.
• Administer oxygen & IV sedation as needed; monitor vital signs.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models; manage lab coordination.
• Record treatment information, schedule appointments, and provide post-op directions.
