Job summary

Allied OMS is seeking a Surgical Assistant to support daily operations and the surgical team in its Oregon practice. You will assist in patient prep, maintain sterile conditions, and help ensure a safe, efficient environment with accurate record-keeping.

You will perform dental X-rays, assist with sedation and anesthesia support as directed, and educate patients on post-operative care while maintaining high professional standards and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and surgical assistant experience preferred.
• Radiology certification required; DAANCE certification preferred or obtainable.
• Strong time management, organization, and confidentiality with HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist dental and medical procedures and emergencies per OSHA and office procedures.
• Prepare patients pre-op and post-op; educate patients on care.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist during surgery with instruments.
• Take dental X-rays and cone beam CT scans; record treatment info accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
