Job summary

Allied OMS is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join a busy specialty office with opportunities for growth. You will support surgical procedures, manage sterilization, and assist with patient care in Napa and Sonoma locations.

The ideal candidate has X-ray and BLS credentials, at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, and a team-oriented, patient-focused mindset. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid X-ray license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year dental assisting experience.
• Must be able to commute to Napa and Sonoma locations.
• Detail-oriented, punctual and reliable in daily duties.
• Friendly, outgoing with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and local/IV sedation setups.
• Sterilize equipment and prepare trays.
• Take and monitor vital signs; assist in patient recovery.
• Know emergency protocols and respond appropriately.
• Assist in consultations and post-ops; perform lab work and 3D printing as needed.
• Organize and restock supplies and rooms.

A well-established, busy specialty office is looking for a highly motivated RDA to join or team. You must be a team-player who is looking for a great opportunity and long-term employment. We are looking for a professional person who is able to multi-task, use time efficiently, and always be one step ahead by anticipating the doctor's needs. Our practice is committed to providing excellent patient care and is looking for someone who shares this same objective. We are willing to train the right candidate.

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications

• Valid X-ray license
• Current BLS certification
• Takes pride in attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable on a daily basis
• Friendly and outgoing personality, with both patients and fellow staff
• Ability to commute and work in both Napa and Sonoma locations
• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience

Qualifications Not Necessary But a Plus

• Previous oral surgery experience
• OMSA certificate
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA)
• Emergency procedures - identification and treatment
• Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred
• Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm
• Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation
• Sterilization and tray set-ups
• Taking and monitoring vital signs/ patient recovery
• Knowledge of medical emergency protocol
• Assisting in consultations and post-ops
• Lab/ 3D printing work
• Organizing and restocking supplies and rooms as needed
• Other duties as needed shared amongst the assistants

We are looking for someone who can work 40 hours per week, but may need to work overtime occasionally due to the nature of our business. This could be a great opportunity for a dedicated, motivated and ambitious individual who is eager to learn and is a self-starter.
