Job summary

Riverside Dental in Jacksonville is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support hands-on patient care. You will prepare operatories, escort patients, and review treatment plans with patients, while monitoring sedation and vital signs as needed.

Responsibilities include taking X-rays, impressions, preparing study models, coordinating labs, and keeping charts up to date with clear post-op guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience, including bone grafting & implants.
• CPR, BLS, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for setup, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, and lab areas; ensure equipment is ready for each patient.
• Escort patients and provide positive service, prepping them for care by the doctor.
• Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
• Monitor oxygen and IV sedation as needed; take blood pressure.
• Take X-rays, impressions, pours, and prepare study models; coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information, schedule appointments, and provide post-op directions.
