Job summary

Coastal Jaw Surgery in Gainesville, FL invites a dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will prepare operatories, assist during procedures, and coordinate lab cases while maintaining high standards of care and safety.

The role involves patient escorting, documenting treatments, and providing post-op instructions, with opportunities for growth and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting and implants.
• Skilled with standard surgical office equipment (Autoclave, statim, model trimmer, Panoramic/CBCT, oxygen, laser, intraoral camera, handpieces).
• CPR & First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking and equipment readiness.
• Escort and prep patients, review treatment plans with patients and maintain communication.
• Administer oxygen and IV sedation as needed, monitor vital signs.
• Take X-Rays, impressions and prepare study models, coordinate lab cases.
• Document treatment information, schedule follow-ups and provide post-op directions.
