Job summary

Jacksonville Dental Specialists is hiring a Surgical Assistant to support hands-on patient care in Jacksonville, FL. You will prepare operatories, assist doctors, take X-rays and impressions, and coordinate lab cases while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have a surgical assisting credential, two years of experience, and prosthodontics exposure. CPR/First Aid certification is required; opportunities for growth and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program required.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants preferred.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization and restocking.
• Escort patients and prep them for care by doctor; review history and progress of treatment plans.
• Administer oxygen and IV sedation as needed; monitor vitals during procedures.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepare study models; coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information in patient charts and schedule appointments.
• Provide post-op directions and follow-up instructions to patients.
