Job summary

Riverside Dental in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Surgical Assistant to deliver hands-on patient care in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program and two years of surgical experience, with prosthodontics exposure including bone grafts and implants. CPR/BLS/First Aid certification is required, and familiarity with autoclave, Pan CBCT equipment, and intraoral cameras is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
• Escort, communicate with, and prep patients for care by doctor; review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
• Monitor oxygen & IV sedation as needed; take blood pressure.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.
• Record treatment information on patient charts, schedule appointments, and provide follow up and post op directions to patients.
