Job summary

Coastal Jaw Surgery in the United States is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to provide hands-on patient care in a warm, patient-centered practice. You’ll prepare operatories for set-up and sterilization, escort and prep patients, review treatment plans with patients, monitor vital signs including oxygen administration, take X-rays and impressions, and coordinate lab cases to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.
• Skilled with standard surgical office equipment including Autoclave, StatIM, model trimmer, Panoramic/CBCT, oxygen, laser, intra oral camera and hand pieces.
• CPR & First Aid Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
• Provide positive customer service by escorting, communicating, and prepping patients for care by the doctor.
• Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
• Administer oxygen and IV sedation as needed, take blood pressure.
• Take X-rays, impressions, pours and prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.
• Record treatment data in charts, schedule appointments and provide follow-up instructions.

What You’ll Do

What You Need
