Job summary

NHOMS | MassOMS in Minnesota is seeking a Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and keep the clinic running smoothly. The role requires a solid foundation in dental assisting with a focus on oral surgery, chairside support during procedures, sterilization, and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Ideal candidates may include LPNs, Medical Assistants, CNAs, or Sterilization Techs; training provided. Requirements include CPR, radiology certification, NH MedTech or MA license depending on

Qualifications

• CPR certification to ensure readiness in emergencies.
• Radiology certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• NH MedTech credential for NH Assistants.
• MA Dental Assisting License where applicable.
• DAANCE certification preferred or achievable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during a range of dental surgical procedures.
• Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain infection control per CDC/ OSHA/ HIPAA standards.
• Capture radiographs and document patient records accurately.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care instructions.
• Maintain thorough patient charting for continuity of care.
