Job summary

NHOMS | MassOMS is seeking a Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and ensure sterile, compliant surgical environments. You will assist chairside, sterilize rooms, and help manage patient care with attention to safety and privacy standards.

The role welcomes LPNs, Medical Assistants, CNAs, and related professionals; training will be provided. Must be able to travel as needed and have a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Radiology certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• DAANCE certification preferred or ability to achieve within 1 year.
• MA Dental Assisting License for MA-based assistants preferred.
• Willingness to travel to support clinic operations.
• Familiarity with dental practice management tools (Open Dental) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during a variety of dental surgical procedures.
• Prepare, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Ensure infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Capture radiographs and document patient records accurately.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Maintain thorough patient charting for continuity of care.
