Job summary

Shared Practices Group in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of experience to support doctors and dental lab operations, organize the back office, and create efficient workflows in a fast-growing dental practice.

You will assist chairside during surgical and dental procedures, capture CBCT and panoramic images, educate patients, ensure infection control, manage inventory, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology and charting standards.
• Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Familiarity with implant procedures (All-on-4 and overdentures) is a plus.
• Proficiency in taking alginate impressions and radiographs.
• Awareness of OSHA infection control regulations and HIPAA privacy.
• Capable of capturing CBCT/panoramic images.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Highly organized and dependable, with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories and document medications and alerts.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment and maintain charting.
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative care.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk staff and collaborate with team.
• Maintain readiness and assist with chairside protocols.
• Assist with basic maintenance of office equipment.
