Our practice, Oral Surgery Group, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team! This is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about oral surgery and committed to delivering outstanding dental services.

As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our oral surgeons with various surgical procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare the treatment room: maintain cleanliness, sterilize instruments, set up equipment such as suction devices, dental chairs, X‑ray machines, and surgical lights.
• Assist oral surgeons during procedures: anticipate needs, supply instruments and materials, maintain a sterile environment, monitor patient vital signs, handle and dispose of surgical waste, and ensure patient comfort.
• Support patients pre‑ and post‑operatively: provide care instructions, explain medication and dietary restrictions, answer questions, demonstrate oral hygiene practices, and educate on preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Perform administrative duties: schedule appointments, manage patient records, process billing and insurance, inventory management, and other related tasks.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid X‑ray license.
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, especially in oral surgery.
• Discharge experience preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
