Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the OB/GYN team by arranging, inventorying, and maintaining sterile setup for procedures, and passing instruments as needed. You will assist in labor and delivery and in the surgical suite, preparing rooms and moving patients.

You will participate in ongoing education to ensure safety and efficiency. Candidates must graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and hold national certification, with CE

• Assists in providing intraoperative care and deliveries.
• Provides and adequately utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safe manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

Minimum Required

Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Education

Minimum Required

Training

Minimum Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technologists. National certification as a surgical technician.
• 20 Hours of continuing education annually

Licensure

Minimum Required

• BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
• CPR
• Hold current national certification through appropriate/approved accreditation body or five (5) years of previous cardiovascular surgery experience.
