The ideal candidate should have substantial surgical critical-care experience and must be certified to practice in Texas. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of recent surgical critical care trauma experience preferred.
  • New grads are encouraged to apply.
  • No FNPs.
  • Board certified by the AGACNP or equivalent.
  • Current BLS and PALS and/or ACLS.
  • Licensed to practice in Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
  • NCCPA certification.
  • DEA registration.
  • AHA BLS required.
  • Within one year of employment, ATLS certification is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-patient, critical care support throughout the hospital.
  • Meet call requirements: 15 shifts per month.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to care for high-acuity trauma patients.

Job description

Surgical Critical Care Trauma Advance Practice Provider

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Critical Care Trauma APP to provide in‑patient, critical care support throughout the hospital in El Paso, TX.

  • Specialization: Surgery Trauma

Qualified Candidates:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3–5 years of recent surgical critical‑care trauma experience
  • New grads are also encouraged to apply
  • No FNPs
  • Schedule: 8 A‑5 P
  • Call requirements: 15 shifts per month (12‑hour shifts with no call component outside the required 12 hours)
  • Board certified by the AGACNP or equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and PALS, and/or ACLS
  • Required: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • NCCPA certification
  • Valid DEA registration
  • AHA BLS required
  • Within one year of employment, the employee will need to become ATLS certified
