University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. seeks an experienced coordinator to schedule all division surgeries and incidental testing, and to authorize surgical cases.
Under general supervision, you will ensure referrals and pre-authorization activities adhere to practice and payer guidelines, with a focus on maximizing patient and provider satisfaction and reimbursement.
Strong knowledge of IDX or similar billing systems, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and back-office operations is preferred.
Under general supervision, schedules all division surgeries and incidental testing and authorizes all surgical cases for the department. Ensures that all primary care referrals are handled according to practice and payer guidelines. Ensures that referral and pre-authorization activities are undertaken in order to provide maximum patient and provider satisfaction and maximum reimbursement; and other duties as assigned.
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
