Qualifications

• Two years of operating room experience required.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating the OR schedule.
• Consults in diverse patient care situations requiring advanced competency.
• Serves as a clinical resource for problem solving and assists staff with patient-related issues and emergencies.
• Collaborates with Post-Anesthesia Care, Biomed, Facilities Engineering, and Anesthesia to facilitate case progression and ensure quality nursing care.
• Serves as a role model and helps develop staff competence in nursing care per perioperative standards.
• Identifies non-compliance and references Policy and Procedure Manual for problem-solving.
