Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Coordinator to streamline patient flow across pre-op, OR, and post-op areas. You will coordinate daily case schedules with anesthesia, manage staffing, and serve as a clinical resource and staff coach within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible with active licensure
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience in perioperative or related areas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow between pre-op, OR and post-op departments.
• Collaborate with anesthesia to manage daily case schedule & assignments.
• Coordinate staffing and day-to-day workload within the department.
• Act as a clinical resource and staff coach.
• Ensure patient and staff safety during routine activities.
• Support OR efficiency through process improvements and policy development.
• Lead quality/performance improvement initiatives within the department.
• Participate in department committees and represent CVOR on hospital/system committees

Saint Luke's East Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a position as a Perioperative Coordinator. This position coordinating patient flow and staffing within and between Surgical Services and all Perianesthesia areas.

• -Coordinate patient flow between pre-op, OR and post-op departments.
• -Manage, in collaboration with anesthesia, daily case schedule & assignments.
• -Coordinates staffing and day-to-day workload.
• -Serves as a clinical resource -Staff coach
• -Assures patient and staff safety during day-to-day activities.
• -Provides feedback on OR efficiency processes
• -Assists in development and implementation of processes to improve OR efficiency.
• -Assists with policy development.
• -Leads selected clinical quality/performance improvement within the department
• -Champions evidence based practice
• -Provides feedback for staff PMPs
• -Participates in department committees e.g. unit council, department leadership
• -Represents CVOR on selected hospital and system committees

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience: 2 years Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various Associate Degree - Nursing
