Job summary

The VIOS Clinic seeks a Staff RN in California to provide patient-centered perioperative care, coordinate care plans, perform preoperative interviews, obtain consent, and support surgical procedures.

Requirements: CA RN license, BLS; ACLS within 3 months if applicable. Experience preferred; new grads and re-entry nurses require orientation, with annual stroke and orthopedic education for units.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 3 months of hire (if applicable).
• Experience preferred; new graduates and re-entry nurses must complete a specialized orientation program.
• Additional education requirements include annual stroke and orthopedic education for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Conduct preoperative interviews and gather pertinent medical data
• Obtain and initiate preoperative orders; identify issues and take appropriate actions
• Obtain consent and address concerns with patients and families
• Collaborate with admitting, case management, and other team members
• Provide education related to surgical procedures and self-care
