Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work the night shift in the Surgical Care Unit (SCU), a 36-bed unit focusing on inpatient surgical care including joint replacement and bariatric services. The role emphasizes pre- and postoperative care, patient and family education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include BSN, NJ RN license, BLS, and 15 months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of.
• 15 months of RN experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Active NJ RN license required.
• National Nursing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients (hip fractures, spinal surgery, bariatrics, etc.).
• Emphasize patient and family education for recovery during hospitalization and at home.
• Manage pain, drains, catheter care, wound care, and complex medication administration in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
