Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgical Care Unit (SCU) at PMPH in New Jersey. The SCU handles a variety of orthopedic and abdominal procedures with a focus on patient education for optimal recovery.

The role requires a BSN (or in progress), 15 months of RN experience, BLS, and an active NJ RN license. Per diem schedule runs roughly 7AM to 7:30PM with comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• BSN required or in pursuit
• 15 months of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Active NJ RN license required
• National Nursing Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-operative care for surgical patients
• Educate patients and families for recovery at hospital and home
• Perform daily clinical skills such as ambulation, pain management, drain and catheter care, wound care and relevant procedures
