The Surgical Support Attendant works under the direction of the RN/Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the unit.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

Education: High School Diploma/GED required.

Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate in English with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Ability to work under stress. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
