Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our Operating Room team. The role supports surgeons and RN staff within a perioperative team, offering full-time and part-time options with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving 50+ miles.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate and BLS (AHA). Certification as CSA, CST, or equivalent licensure is required, with at least 2 years of OR scrub experience.

Qualifications

• Education in Surgical Technology as per role.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• CSA or CST certification (or licensed surgical assistant).
• 2+ years operating room scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and asepsis throughout procedures.
• Coordinate supplies/equipment for cost-effective operations.
• Assist in intraoperative tasks and patient care planning.
• Perform scrubbing duties and assist surgeons during procedures.
