Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our operating room team. The role supports the surgeon and perioperative staff, serving as the first or second surgical technician or second circulator under direct supervision of the RN.

Flexible scheduling options are available, with both full-time and part-time opportunities and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible positions. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate, possess BLS (AHA) and CSA

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Certification as CSA (NCCSA) or CST (NBSTSA) preferred.
• Licensure as Surgical Assistant (IDFPR) within 1 year may be required in some states.

Responsibilities
