Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of oral surgery experience required.
  • BLS certification required or within 1 month of hire.

We are an elite oral surgery practice committed to exceptional patient care and first-class service to our referring doctors. We seek a fun, hardworking, compassionate team player to help us grow and serve our community's oral surgery needs. Previous oral surgery experience is required.

The Surgical Assistant plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring the best clinical outcomes, and meeting patient needs.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by performing tissue retraction, managing intravenous lines, and completing documentation.
  • Perform preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate patient care.
  • Verify patient identity and operative sites.
  • Discuss surgical procedures with the surgeon, including consent and operative methods.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
  • Keep the operative field clear using retractors, sponges, suction, and irrigation.
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect and operate sterilization devices.
  • Monitor intraoperative patient status.
  • Obtain dental radiographs and imaging.
  • Complete patient clinical narratives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification required or within 1 month of hire.
  • At least one year of oral surgery experience.
  • DAANCE certification preferred.
  • Licensed dental assistant preferred.
  • Radiology certification preferred.
