Middletown Oral & Facial Surgery in Middletown, Kentucky is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our team. This full-time position offers up to $24 per hour based on experience and a 34-hour workweek, with opportunities to grow and develop clinically.

You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, assist with X-rays, and ensure compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines. The ideal candidate has a dental background and a commitment to patient care in a team-oriented environment.

• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines.
• Prepares treatment room by sterilizing instruments and passing them to the dentist.
• Maintains knowledge through educational workshops and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
