West 10th is seeking a Lead Surgical Assistant to join our Indianapolis dental team. This full-time role supports dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality care, including X-rays, patient education, and procedural assistance.

The position requires a High School Diploma, dental experience, and X-Ray/CPR certifications, with additional EDDA/EFDA credentials and DANB Indiana preferred. We offer growth opportunities and a supportive work culture in a modern practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-3 years dental experience.
• X-Ray Certification required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Dental Assistant Certificate (EDDA/EFDA) required or preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.
• DANB (Indiana) certification preferred.
• OSHA training required.
• Coronal Polishing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care and assists dentists and hygienists.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes all clinical notes before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment room and sterilizes instruments.
• Maintains professional knowledge through workshops and networks.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
