Job summary
Middletown Oral & Facial Surgery in Middletown, Kentucky is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our team. This full-time position offers up to $24 per hour based on experience and a 34-hour workweek, with opportunities to grow and develop clinically.
You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, assist with X-rays, and ensure compliance with CDC/OSHA guidelines. The ideal candidate has a dental background and a commitment to patient care in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Dental Assistant Certificate / EDDA / EFDA
- X-Ray Certification
- CPR Certification
- Associates Degree
- DANB (Indiana)
- OSHA
- Coronal Polishing
- 1-3 years experience
Responsibilities
- Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment.
- Assists dentists and hygienists in diagnosis through X-rays and tests as directed.
- Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
- Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines.
- Prepares treatment room by sterilizing instruments and passing them to the dentist.
- Maintains knowledge through educational workshops and professional development.
