Middletown Ortho in Middletown, Kentucky, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our patient-focused team. This part-time role includes assisting with X-rays, patient education, and clinical support in a modern practice.

Qualifications

• Ready to be part of a patient-focused team.

• Have your dental assistant certification, or be able to provide proof.
• Obtain your radiology certification within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment.
• Assists the dentist through taking X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Help ensure efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, and posting charges accurately.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Takes impressions, takes x-rays, changes wires/brackets, and provides oral hygiene instructions.
• Prepares treatment area and instruments, assisting the orthodontist as needed.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment. Assists the dentist through taking X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Helps ensure efficient and profitable operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, utilizing supplies cost-effectively, and posting patient charges accurately.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Takes impressions, takes x-rays, changes out wires and brackets, and gives oral hygiene instructions.
• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment area for patients by following prescribed proceduresand protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and deliveringinstruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the Orthodontist'saccess; suctioning; passing instruments; and other duties as needed.
