AdventHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a hybrid role in Tarpon Springs, FL, conducting comprehensive evaluations, coordinating perioperative care, and assisting in surgery as credentialed. The position emphasizes collaborative teamwork, independent decision making, and high-quality patient education.

Applicants must hold national NP certification (FNP/AGACNP/AGNP), Florida APRN license, and current BLS/ACLS, with DEA registration or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical exams with treatment plans.

• First assist in surgery as credentialed by hospital policy.
• Round on surgical patients and manage postoperative care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging; document in EHR.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis and treatment.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform pre-operative evaluations and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• First assist in surgery as credentialed and permitted by hospital policies.
• Round on hospitalized surgical patients and manage post-operative care plans.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging results.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic surgical conditions within scope of practice.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, surgical expectations, and recovery.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to evidence-based practice standards.
• Facilitate timely communication among patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Qualification

• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGACNP, or AGNP).
• Curren Florida APRN License
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 1 weekend of Hospital rounding per month
• Hybrid role to include inpatient rounding and clinic / outpatient setting

Pay Range:

$92,227.20 - $171,537.60
