Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa is seeking an experienced APRN/PA to join the structural heart team, delivering comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will collaborate with cardiology and surgical colleagues, conduct assessments, educate patients, and participate in heart team reviews while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
  • Evaluate and manage patients with valvular heart disease and other structural heart conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Coordinate patient care throughout the structural heart treatment continuum, from referral through follow-up.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, imaging specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case reviews.
  • Provide pre-procedure education and counseling to patients and families.
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and post-procedural management of structural heart interventions.
  • Monitor patients during hospitalization and coordinate discharge planning.
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing, laboratory studies, and imaging as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice and accordance with Florida regulations.
  • Manage follow-up care and surveillance after structural heart procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with all AdventHealth and regulatory standards.

Job Description:

Required
  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
  • 2+ years' experience in a Cardiology or Structural Heart setting as an APRN or PA

Pay Range:

$92,227.20 - $171,537.60
