Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Arlington team in a hybrid outpatient/hospital setting. The role supports pre‑operative through postoperative care, including assisting in the OR where applicable, and coordinating with surgeons and staff to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Ideal candidates hold an MSN with a Nurse Practitioner or PA background and relevant certifications (RNFA or NCCPA).

Qualifications

• MSN required from an accredited nursing school.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• RNFA or PA certification depending on track (hybrid role).

Responsibilities

• Conduces comprehensive assessments for patients referred for surgical evaluation.
• Pre‑operative history and exams, reviews imaging/labs, assists in planning.
• Post‑operative follow‑up care, wound assessments, and suture removal.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, expectations, and recovery timelines.
• Coordinates care with surgeons, nurses and ancillary staff for smooth transitions.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR and supports quality improvement initiatives.
