Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join a multi-specialty surgical practice in a patient-centered role. You will collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care from initial consultation through postoperative management in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings.

The APP will lead, educate, and mentor team members while participating in quality improvement, clinical audits, and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with active state license.
• Board certification as NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA) required.
• Experience in surgical principles and perioperative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and perioperative optimization.
• Conduct inpatient rounds and collaborate with surgical teams.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests; adjust care plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment with supervising physicians.
• Mentor nursing or PA students and participate in continuing education.
• Ensure documentation accuracy in EMR and support quality initiatives.
