Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an Advance Practice Provider to deliver independent, high-quality perioperative and postoperative care in Elizabeth, NJ. This full-time position requires an APN Certification, an NJ RN license, and various certifications such as CDS and DEA. Responsibilities include performance in surgical first assisting, hospital rounds, and communicating with patients. Offering an annual pay range of $125,000 to $195,000, this role is vital to the surgical patient care team within the Barnabas Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• Current APN Certification is required.
• Must have a Current RN NJ state license.
• CDS and DEA certifications are necessary.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• RNFA Certification is required if Surgical NP certification doesn't include surgical assist.
• Preferred: Acute care certification and 3–5 years of acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care as an independent health-care provider.
• Provide high-quality perioperative/postoperative care.
• Perform surgical first assisting and hospital rounds.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and patients.
• Assist with daily inpatient rounds.
