Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital Pittsburgh North is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team. The role includes admitting patients for procedures, assisting with anesthesia and postoperative care, and communicating with clients about patient history and updates.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (based on experience/licensure) and competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends. A minimum of two years in a veterinary hospital is preferred, with on-call rotation after training.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Credential options include LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients for surgical procedures and place IV catheters.
• Assist with postoperative care and discharge planning.
• Speak to clients to obtain patient history and provide updates.
• Restrain animals for exam and diagnostics; perform blood draws and radiographs.
