Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Katy, TX is seeking a Part-time Surgical Veterinary Technician to support our Surgery Team. You will provide nursing care to stable patients, place peripheral IV catheters, monitor vitals, administer IV fluids, and assist with post‑operative recovery. Two+ years of veterinary hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team goal.
• Comfort with rotating on-call schedule after training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards.
• Place peripheral IV catheter in cephalic vein.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital parameters.
• Set up and administer intravenous fluids; monitor patient response.
