Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Partner, seeks a Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team in Ellicott City, MD. Working Monday-Thursday, 4x10 hour shifts, you will apply anesthesia and analgesia protocols, monitor cases, and support pre-op through recovery.

Qualifications

• Experience with anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and intervene as needed.
• Familiarity with IV catheter placement and anesthetic equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Use anesthesia and analgesia protocols to develop plans for each patient.
• Monitor anesthesia, troubleshoot complications, and intervene as needed.
• Perform IV catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and maintain anesthesia equipment.
• Conduct physical exams and monitor vitals.
• Set up IV fluids and CRI administration.
• Expand advanced anesthetic skills including epidurals and difficult airway management.
• Operate IV fluid pumps and manage patient flow through pre-op to recovery.
• Handle appointments, histories, medical records, invoicing, and discharges.
• Maintain aseptic connections for IV fluids and monitor for overload.
