Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Rockville, MD is seeking a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery department. You will support anesthesia protocols, monitor patients, perform IV placement and post-op care, and manage records and invoicing as part of a collaborative team.

The role offers 4x10 hour weekday shifts with occasional on-call, shift differentials for evenings and weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with anesthesia proficiency.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and manage complications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient procedures with anesthesia and analgesia planning.
• Monitor anesthesia and intervene as needed.
• Place IV catheters and manage anesthetic equipment.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital signs.
• Manage pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
• Document histories, invoicing, and discharges.
• Operate IV fluid pumps and troubleshoot issues.
