Veterinary Surgical Centers in Gaithersburg, MD, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a passion for anesthesia, surgery, and advanced nursing to join our specialty team.

This role offers a four-day work week, Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties, and the chance to work with board-certified surgeons on complex cases.

You'll have opportunities to advance your CT/MRI skills and provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Maryland LVET credential required.
• Graduate with an AVMA-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years veterinary experience.
• Experience in specialty surgery, anesthesia, or advanced nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist board-certified surgeons during procedures and patient care.
• Monitor anesthesia using multi-parameter equipment.
• Perform laboratory procedures and prepare samples.
• Record patient histories, weights, and vital signs.
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, recoveries, discharges.
• Support CT and MRI procedures.
• Deliver professional client communication.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and inventory.
