Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 and competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

You will provide nursing care, place IV and urinary catheters, set up IV fluids, and assist board-certified surgeons in advanced surgeries. A rotating on-call schedule starts after training with a typical four 10-hour shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a veterinary hospital (minimum).
• One year of technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients according to hospital standards.
• Place IV and urinary catheters.
• Set up IV fluids and CRIs.
• Set up and oversee blood transfusions for critically ill patients.
• Assist surgeons in performing a wide range of advanced surgical care.
• Monitor patient status and alert the doctor as needed.
