Job description

This southwest GA health system, a JCAHO accredited facility, is assisting a local surgical practice in their search for a BC/BE Thoracic (non-cardiac) Surgeon. The six surgeons and medical staff at the practice take great pride in providing patients with innovative and compassionate surgical care, with a special focus on minimally invasive treatment options.

Position Details

1. Elective Thoracic Practice
2. Minimally Invasive experience required
3. 1:6 Call shared with General Surgery
4. Must be willing to take general surgery call including emergency and trauma - Level Three Trauma Center
5. Utilize the intuitive Surgical ION Platform and navi bronch with 3 full-time pulmonologists and a Lung Nodule clinic and coordinator
6. Full oncology center with Emory-Winship Cancer center partnership and availability of Cesium Mesh
7. Three daVinci Xi Robotic Surgery units with block time
8. Teaching / Co-surgeon console for Xi Robotic units
9. Mentorship from an experienced General / Thoracic Surgeon with several hundred robotic thoracic cases
10. Dedicated PA for office and OR support
