Job description

Well-established, hospital-employed surgical group seeks an additional Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our busy practice. We have an exceptional referral base with strong Primary Care and Cardiology Physician sources from 13 counties. Our robust IM Hospitalist service provides medical consults and management of non-surgical illnesses. Southeast Alabama offers a short 90-minute drive to the Emerald Coast beaches of Florida, a low cost of living, excellent educational facilities, and traditional southern hospitality.

Position Highlights:

1. Hospital-employed position
2. Access to 2 Endovascular and open heart suites
3. daVinci robotic surgical system available
4. Shared call among the team, with a 1:4 ratio
5. Clinic located on hospital campus for easy access to ED, surgical suite, and hospital
6. 24/7 support services including Cardiology, Critical Care, and Interventional Radiology
7. Dedicated APPs assist in OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate hospital rounds, and see patients post-op in the clinic
8. Facility offers TAVR, EP Cardiology, and Watchman procedures
9. Over 20 ORs with access to 2 endovascular suites and open heart suites
10. ICU beds with dedicated CVICU beds in the expanded progressive care unit
11. Cardiothoracic APPs assist in OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate rounds, and see patients in post-op clinic
