Job summary

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Surgical NP or PA to join our Surgery Department at the Wilmington and Newark campuses. This full-time day position requires a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend coverage approximately every four to five weeks and on-call roughly every ten days.

The successful candidate will provide perioperative and postoperative care, assist in the operating room, and support inpatient management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NP or PA accredited program.
• Acute Care NP required with RNFA certification.
• Must be licensed or eligible to practice in Delaware.
• Two years of OR and inpatient management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for surgical patients as part of the surgical service team, including operative care and postoperative orders.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care, wound care, drains management and discharges.
• Assist in the operating room and support inpatient management as needed.

Job description

Job Details Are you a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner that is looking for a challenge and to be part of an innovative team? ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Surgical NP or PA to work within our Surgery Department at both hospital campuses in Wilmington and Newark.

This is a full-time day position with a Monday – Friday schedule with a weekend requirement averaging every four or five. Call is required at once every ten days. Holiday on-call requirement is one holiday and one holiday weekend each year.

The qualified candidate will provide care to surgical patients, as a member of the surgical service team, primarily functioning in the operative care of surgical patients as assigned, including positioning, draping, first or second assisting and postoperative order writing. Additional responsibilities include providing preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients, including examination, wound care, care of drains, and discharges.

Annual Compensation

Annual Compensation Range $119,583.00 - $153,472.00 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
