Harvard Bioscience is currently seeking a pre‑clinical surgery specialist. The qualified individual will perform routine surgical procedures using DSI implantable telemetry devices. They will be involved in customer support revenue generating projects and surgical animal training of the DSI device. Will participate in the development of new surgical techniques and new products used in animal research.
High School or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of relevant experience with small laboratory animals. Certification (SRT or SRS) through the Academy of Surgical Research is required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to perform microscopic surgery, sitting, and standing for the majority of the day.

Other Duties: Increase proficiency in the field and education by attending additional training for other professional development, i.e. novel surgical techniques, animal care, and welfare, etc. Ensure continuing education credits are obtained to maintain certifications, i.e. ASR certifications.
