Job summary

Proven Recruiting is seeking an Animal Research Associate I/II to support in‑vivo studies at a San Diego biotech site. The role involves administering substances to animals, catheter placements, and assisting with surgical procedures while maintaining animal welfare and study integrity.

Ideal candidates have AS/BS/RVT with 2+ years handling larger animals and experience with multiple dosing methods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a surgical environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• AS or BS or RVT required or preferred.
• 2+ years of experience handling larger animals (pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits).
• Experience with dosing/injections (IM, SubQ, IV, IP, oral).
• Experience in a surgical environment is preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter placements and prepare study activities.

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $25.00 to $32.00 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
