Surgery Scheduling Coordinator - Maitland, FL

Responsibilities include:
  • Review weekly provider schedules to optimize provider availability
  • Monitor biopsy logs for accuracy and timely results, ensuring treatment of positive lesions within 4-6 weeks
  • Initiate skin cancer tracking, contact patients by phone, and send letters promptly
  • Obtain precertification and prior authorizations efficiently
  • Schedule MOHS and cancer treatment surgeries
  • Maintain OSHA compliance
  • Perform same-day patient call-backs
  • Assist physicians and mid-level providers with patient care
  • Document appropriately in medical records
  • Contact patients via phone or mail to confirm upcoming surgeries, ensuring all paperwork is completed prior to procedures
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Location Manager and Regional Supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least one year of dermatology experience
  • MA certificate or diploma from a medical vocational program
  • Active RN, LPN license or certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of vital signs
  • Understanding of dermatologic surgery and sterile techniques
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Computer literacy
