Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a scheduling specialist to manage procedures across inpatient, outpatient surgery center, and outpatient clinic settings. You will obtain insurance pre-authorizations and assist with clerical duties to support efficient clinic operations.

The role requires two years of medical scheduling experience, solid medical terminology knowledge, and accurate keyboarding skills. A high school diploma is required, with preferred college or vocational training in medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years scheduling experience in a medical environment.
• Strong medical terminology, including anatomy and physiology.
• Keyboarding: 45 words per minute.
• Possess spelling, punctuation, grammar and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries for inpatient, outpatient surgery center, and outpatient clinic procedures.
• Works with schedulers at EvergreenHealth surgical facilities.
• Obtains insurance pre-authorizations.
• Obtains insurance benefits and communicates copays and deductibles to patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
