Duly Health and Care in Naperville, IL is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for the Pulmonary division. This full-time role supports scheduling for pre-op testing, patient coordination, and multi-site coverage with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, coordinating pre-op workups, verifying insurance, and serving as a liaison between staff and facilities. Travel to other sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology, verbal and written.
• CPT and ICD-9 coding.

• Ability to learn new computer programs.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years prior surgery scheduling, telephone, computer and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and manage scheduling.
• Coordinate pre-op testing and verify insurance.
• Act as single point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
• Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op labs and testing as needed.
• Confirm procedures with patients and provide prep instructions.
• Prepare paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
• Verify daily doctor schedules and distribute to staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with billing processes.
• Cover/fill-in for coworkers as needed.
• Track case volume and direct cases to facilities as directed.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
