Job summary

Des Moines Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time Prior Authorization specialist to join the West Des Moines area team. You will work with the navigator group to standardize and support an exceptional patient experience, handling inpatient surgery prior authorizations and scheduling when needed.

You will use Office 365, Intergy, and carrier portals to review authorizations, communicate with staff, and stay organized while managing multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care coordination and prior authorizations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with patients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide authorization support and, when needed, scheduling.
• Utilize Office 365, Intergy, and carrier portals to review prior authorizations.
• Maintain professionalism and prioritize tasks to support patient care.
• Collaborate with navigators to ensure timely patient access to care.
