Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years as a medical assistant in hospital, home health, or office setting.
• Two years of surgery scheduling preferred.
• CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, and handle in-coming calls; schedule surgeries and imaging.
• Obtain pre-authorization via insurance processes as needed.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure medically necessary treatment.
• Document authorizations and dates in the EMR; ensure timely updates.
